Background:  In 1990 the Legislature expanded the duties of, and renamed, the Emergency Medical Services Committee.  Under current sunset provisions, the newly renamed Emergency Medical Services Licensing and Certification Advisory Committee is scheduled for termination this year.

 

Summary of Bill:  The sunset provisions terminating the Emergency Medical Services Licensing and Certification Advisory Committee are repealed.

 

Fiscal Note:  Available.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.

 

Testimony For:  This bill is needed to keep the emergency care system in this state functioning effectively and efficiently.
