     AN ACT Relating to funding criminal justice enhancement for Yakima county; making an appropriation; and declaring an emergency.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.      The sum of one million dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the general fund to the department of community development for the biennium ending June 30, 1993, for the purpose of providing a grant to Yakima county for criminal justice enhancement, such as augmented courts, law enforcement, prosecution, and jail operations.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.      This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.
