     AN ACT Relating to medical examinations required by a private passenger automobile insurance policy; and adding a new section to chapter 48.18 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 48.18 RCW to read as follows:

     Private passenger automobile insurers shall reimburse their insureds for the reasonable costs of travel and expenses and lost wages incurred by the insured whenever the insurer requires the insured to attend a medical examination.
