     AN ACT Relating to confidentiality of driver records; and adding a new section to chapter 18.72 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 18.72 RCW to read as follows:

     To assist in identifying impairment related to alcohol abuse, the board may obtain a copy of the driving record maintained by the department of licensing.
