AN ACT Relating to time limitations for reconsiderations and appeals under industrial insurance; adding a new section to chapter 51.48 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 51.52 RCW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. A new section is added to chapter 51.48 RCW to read as follows:
In any reconsideration or appeal of a notice of assessment filed after the effective date of this act, the director or the board respectively may, for good cause shown, waive the time limitation established for reconsideration or appeal of the notice of assessment.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 51.52 RCW to read as follows:
In any reconsideration or appeal filed under this title after the effective date of this act, the director or the board respectively may, for good cause shown, waive the time limitation established under this title for reconsideration or appeal.
