     AN ACT Relating to the flood control assistance account; and amending RCW 86.26.007.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

     Sec. 1.  RCW 86.26.007 and 1991 sp.s. c 13 s 24 are each amended to read as follows:

     The flood control assistance account is hereby established in the state treasury.  ((At the beginning of each biennium the state treasurer shall transfer from the general fund to the flood control assistance account an amount of money which, when combined with money remaining in the account from the previous biennium, will equal four million dollars)) The account may receive moneys appropriated by the legislature and any other revenues received through gift, grant, or donation to the state for the purpose of providing financial assistance for flood control purposes.  Moneys in the flood control assistance account may be spent only after appropriation for purposes specified under this chapter.
