HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 91-4670, by Representatives Schmidt and Zellinsky

 

     WHEREAS, There are few more laudable callings in life than to give of oneself in service to others; and

     WHEREAS, The Martha and Mary nursing home epitomizes the concept of service to others; and

     WHEREAS, Martha and Mary began its service to the community by opening a successful orphanage to serve youth; and

     WHEREAS, Martha and Mary is now a viable nursing home committed to the care of the community's aging citizens; and

     WHEREAS, The city of Poulsbo, and the community at large, gratefully acknowledge the invaluable services provided by Martha and Mary; and

     WHEREAS, The Martha and Mary nursing home is to be saluted for providing one hundred years of service;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize and honor the Martha and Mary nursing home on its centennial celebration; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to Jaak Juhkentaal, administrator, and Dorothy Almond, centennial coordinator, for the Martha and Mary nursing home.
