HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 92-4726, by Representatives Ebersole and Franklin

 

     WHEREAS, Thirteen-year-old Felicia Knight is an honor student and a member of the student council at Mann Junior High School in Lakewood; and

     WHEREAS, Felicia is a tremendously talented dancer, singer, pianist, and composer who performs with the Suburban Dance Studio in Puyallup and plays piano for the Mount Sinai Baptist Church youth choir; and

     WHEREAS, Felicia was named 1984 queen of the Delta Sigma Theta "Jabberwock" pageant and first runner-up of the 1990-91 national "Miss Junior America" contest; and

     WHEREAS, Felicia's intelligence, poise, and talent has also won her the 1991-92 "Miss Junior America of Tacoma" crown; and

     WHEREAS, Felicia will be travelling to Los Angeles to compete for the "Miss Junior America of Washington" title that could launch her into the regional and the national Miss Junior America pageants; and

     WHEREAS, Felicia also will attend a Hollywood workshop on acting and modeling; and

     WHEREAS, Felicia is a natural leader loved for her intelligence, warmth, talent,  compassion, and humor;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the 52nd Legislature of the State of Washington recognize Felicia Knight as an outstanding citizen and role model; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to Felicia, Bobbie, and Darnell Knight.
