                         SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 8424

Read first time 02/07/92.Making minor adjustments to legislative district boundaries.

     WHEREAS, Pursuant to RCW 44.05.100 and Article II, section 43 of the state Constitution, the Washington State Redistricting Commission, on January 1, 1992, approved and submitted to the legislature a plan for legislative and congressional redistricting; and

     WHEREAS, Pursuant to RCW 44.05.100, the legislature desires to amend the boundaries of legislative districts ten and forty, involving 179 people of 99,319 in district ten, and 179 people of 99,320 in district forty; and

     WHEREAS, These amendments include less than two percent of the population of each of the affected legislative districts as required by law;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Senate of the State of Washington, the House of Representatives concurring, That the plan for legislative and congressional redistricting approved and submitted by the Washington State Redistricting Commission on January 1, 1992, be amended as follows:
