      Revises provisions of the natural death act.

      Requires a patient to be discharged if he or she is capable of indicating by words or actions that he or she wishes to die at home in dignity.

      Provides immunity from legal liability for good faith cooperation with the wishes of the patient to be discharged or have life-sustaining treatment withdrawn.

      Directs the department of health to adopt guidelines for emergency medical personnel when persons indicate a desire not to receive futile treatment.
