HB 2998 - DIGEST

      Revises provisions regulating weights and measures.

      Provides for biennial inspections and tests of weights and measures standards.

      Establishes hearing procedures for persons aggrieved by action of the department or a city sealer.

      Revises penalty provisions for violations of the requirements of the act.

      Repeals provisions of chapter 19.94 RCW.

      Directs the office of financial management to conduct a review of the state's weights and measures program.

      Makes appropriations to carry out the purposes of the act.
