SB 5445 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

      Increases the publicly owned forest land base to be managed in perpetuity as state forest lands for sustainable commercial forestry, to help achieve the purposes of growth management planning, and to provide a source of revenue for the long-term capital construction needs of the state community college system.

      Provides that lands may be acquired at fair market value.

      Repeals RCW 76.12.100.

      Makes an appropriation of twenty million dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
