SB 6029 - DIGEST

      Creates a health care professional quality assurance system and specifies the policy goals of the system.

      Creates a five member health professional quality assurance committee.

      Provides for the adoption of rules concerning standards of professional conduct or practice.

      Provides for mandatory arbitration of health care malpractice complaints.

      Establishes a health professional data information plan.

      Establishes a health care services practice parameters development committee and technical advisory committees.

      Revises provisions of the health professional practice acts and the uniform disciplinary act to correspond to the intent of the proposed legislation.

      Repeals various provisions of Title 18 RCW.

      Repeals RCW 43.131.337 and 43.131.338.
