     On page 3, line 12, after "paid" strike "or payable" and insert "((or payable))"

     On page 6, beginning on line 21, after "Sec. 4." strike the remainder of section 4 and insert "This act applies to all causes of action that the parties have not settled or in which judgment has not been entered prior to July 1, 1993."

EFFECT:  (1) Deletes references in the third party award distribution schedule to compensation payable in the future, consistent with other provisions of the bill; and (2) clarifies that the bill does not apply to causes of action that are settled or in which judgment is entered before the act's effective date.
