     On page 1, line 5, after "persons" strike "((under the age of eighteen)) born after January 1, 1972," and insert "under the age of eighteen"

     On page 1, after line 8, insert: "Beginning January 1, 1995, all persons purchasing a hunting license for the first time, if born after January 1, 1972, shall present such certification."

EFFECT:  Restores language that requires persons under the age of eighteen to present evidence of completion of a hunter safety course prior to purchasing a hunting license.  Adds an effective date of January 1, 1995 to the provision that requires those born after January 1, 1972 to provide evidence of course completion prior to purchasing a hunting license.  Confines this requirement to first-time license buyers.
