BACKGROUND:

 

A section of the law pertaining to the scope of practice of a health care assistant was amended twice during the 1986 legislative session, each without reference to the other.  The two amendments were drafted in a manner that could not be reconciled without the section appearing twice in the code.

The section is reenacted incorporating the two amendments.
