Prohibiting unauthorized liquified petroleum gas container use.


          AN ACT Relating to liquified petroleum gas containers; and adding a new section to chapter 78.52 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 78.52 RCW to read as follows:

          A person shall not fill a liquified petroleum gas container without the consent of the owner of the container.  The owner of a leased or rented container shall not unreasonably refuse to consent to having a container filled.  If the owner of the container leases or rents the container, the owner of the container shall not be liable for personal injury or property damage that results from the filling of the container by a person other than the owner or the owner's employee or agent.  For purposes of this section, a liquified petroleum gas container means any container of one hundred gallons water capacity or larger.
