Adjusting bid limitations for cities and towns.


          AN ACT Relating to bid limitations for cities and towns; and creating a new section.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

          NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A joint select committee on city and town bid limitations is created to be composed of six members, three of whom are members of the house of representatives appointed by the chief clerk of the house of representatives, with no more than two members being of the same party, and three of whom are members of the senate appointed by the secretary of the senate, with no more than two members being of the same party.

          The committee on city and town bid limitations shall review laws relating to day labor limits and bidding requirements for cities and towns and on or before December 31, 1993, shall prepare a report to the legislature on these laws together with any needed legislation altering these laws.

          The committee expires on December 31, 1993.
