Limiting the indeterminate sentence review board's power to change confinements.

    AN ACT Relating to the indeterminate sentence review board; and adding a new section to chapter 9.95 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 9.95 RCW to read as follows:

    The indeterminate sentence review board may not redetermine or refix a term of confinement or change the instructions of a judge to modify a sentencing order issued by a court that would change a person's term of confinement from running consecutively to concurrently or from running concurrently to consecutively.

NEW SECTION. Sec. 2.  If any provision of this act or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the act or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
