Authorizing use of closed circuit television in court procedural hearings.



    AN ACT Relating to court administration; adding a new section to chapter 2.28 RCW; and adding a new section to chapter 3.02 RCW.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 2.28 RCW to read as follows:

    Courts of record may conduct procedural hearings by using closed circuit television or other electronic equipment to facilitate the efficiency and security under which those proceedings are conducted.

 

    NEW SECTION.  Sec. 2.  A new section is added to chapter 3.02 RCW to read as follows:

    Courts of limited jurisdiction may conduct procedural hearings by using closed circuit television or other electronic equipment to facilitate the efficiency and security under which those proceedings are conducted.
