AN ACT Relating to major noninterstate highway construction; making an appropriation; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:
NEW SECTION. Sec. 1. On April 1, 1994, the state treasurer shall transfer one hundred million dollars from the budget stabilization account contained within the general fund to the state transportation fund. Effective immediately upon the transfer, an appropriation of one hundred million dollars from the state transportation fund is made to the department of transportation for the category C program as defined in chapter 47.05 RCW for the biennium ending June 30, 1995.
NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and shall take effect immediately.
