Prohibiting physicians who are working for a hospital district from becoming commissioners of the district.

          AN ACT Relating to public hospital districts; and adding a new section to chapter 70.44 RCW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON:

NEW SECTION. Sec. 1.  A new section is added to chapter 70.44 RCW to read as follows:

          A physician who is an employee of, or holds staff privileges at, a hospital owned, operated, or under the control or supervision of a public hospital district is not eligible to hold office as a commissioner of that public hospital district.
