(DIGEST AS ENACTED)

     Declares that the maximum daily wet weight harvest of seaweed for personal use is ten pounds per person.

     Authorizes the establishment of seaweed harvest limits of less than ten pounds for conservation purposes and makes a violation of the limit an infraction punishable by a penalty of one hundred dollars.

     Provides that the act does not apply to commercial harvest of marine aquatic plants.

     Requires the development of an inventory and management plan by December 31, 1993.
