SB 5249 - DIGEST

     Authorizes a petition to be filed with the courts for the involuntary insertion of birth control known as Norplant into the woman.

     Requires a licensed physician to set forth the findings in support of the allegations of the petition.

     Establishes hearing requirements.

     Prohibits the removal of the implant until six months after the court finds the woman is clean and sober.
