SB 6143 - DIGEST

(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 1ST SUB)

     Removes the time limitations within the state's retirement systems for the restoration of service credit and for receiving credit for certain service not creditable at the time it was performed, such as a probationary period or military service.

     Expands the current procedures for establishing service credit previously earned, restoring withdrawn contributions, or repaying lump sums received in lieu of a benefit.

     Makes an appropriation of two hundred thousand dollars to carry out the purposes of the act.
