SB 6263 - DIGEST

 

     Authorizes a judge to require a defendant to surrender any deadly weapon upon a finding that the party has used, displayed, or threatened to use a deadly weapon in a crime of violence, threatened a party or witness to the action, or has previously committed a crime which makes him or her ineligible to possess a pistol.

     Authorizes the court to order a surrender of a deadly weapon when issuing restraining orders.
