              (DIGEST OF PROPOSED 1ST SUBSTITUTE)

 

     Provides that a person whose employment lapses for one year or more must be retrained and reexamined for a food handlers license.

     Requires at least one manager at a food service establishment to be certified as a food safety manager.

     Establishes standards for a public education program regarding safe handling and preparation of food.

     Establishes standards for posters in food establishments.

     Repeals RCW 69.06.050.
