On page 76, line 36, after "employee." insert the following:
"However, a salary increase shall not be provided to any employee whose monthly salary on or after January 1, 1996 exceeds $5,833."
On page 77, line 6, after "1996." insert the following:
"However, a salary increase shall not be provided to any employee whose monthly salary on or after January 1, 1996 exceeds $5,833."
On page 79, line 5, after "increments." insert the following:
"However, a general salary increase shall not be provided to any employee whose monthly salary on or after January 1, 1996 exceeds $5,833."
On page 79, line 14, after "employee." insert the following:
"However, a salary increase shall not be provided to any employee whose monthly salary on or after January 1, 1996 exceeds $5,833."
On page 79, line 18, after "section." insert the following:
"However, a salary increase shall not be provided to any employee whose monthly salary on or after January 1, 1996 exceeds $5,833."

EFFECT: Prohibits state and higher education employees with an annual salary of at least $70,000 from receiving a cost-of-living-adjustment in the 1995-97 biennium.
