     On page 1, line 6, after "acquisition of" insert "solely state-funded"

     On page 2, line 17, after "follows:" strike "Twenty" and insert "Twenty-seven"

     On page 3, beginning on line 7, strike all of subsection (5) and insert "(5) All new moneys originally appropriated for the 1995-97 biennium from the habitat conservation account shall be used for (a) the acquisition and development of urban wildlife habitat; and (b) the acquisition and development of critical habitat and natural areas if at least fifty percent of the acquisition cost is funded from non-state funds."

EFFECT:  Allows the purchase of critical habitat and natural area lands if at least 50% of the acquisition cost is funded from non-state funds.  Increases the distribution of monies to the habitat conservation account from 20% to 27% to provide  funding for potential 1995-97 acquisitions under the critical habitat and natural area categories.
