     On page 4, line 33, after "distance." insert "If a local authority requires dangerous dogs to wear such identification, such dogs must also be permanently identified by a microchip or other electronic identification device that has been approved by and registered with the animal control authority."

EFFECT:  Requires the use of permanent identification such as microchip implantation if a local authority chooses to require identification of dangerous with tags or other non-electronic devices.
