Background:  Existing law authorizes the Association of Superior Court Judges to hold its annual meeting in July or August of each year.  The association is requesting the flexibility to allow its Board of Governors to set the time of its annual meeting.

 

Summary of Bill:  The Board of Governors of the Superior Court Judges Association is authorized to establish when the association's annual meeting is held.

 

Appropriation:  None.

 

Fiscal Note:  Not requested.

 

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.

 

Testimony For:  The bill allows the judges to have the flexibility to have their annual meeting when it is most convenient.
