HB 1757 - DIGEST

 

     Finds that the governance structure of the community and technical colleges provides an excellent model for the baccalaureate institutions.

     Intends to unify and strengthen the public baccalaureate universities and colleges by creating a consolidated governing board for them.

     Provides for a board of regents consisting of fifteen members.

     Abolishes the existing governing boards.

     Repeals provisions in chapters 28B.20, 28B.30, 28B.35, and 28B.40.
