HB 2330 - DIGEST

     Recognizes the right of parents to place their children in private schools that more closely meet the needs and educational desires of the parents and students and that many parents select church schools to meet those needs.

     Declares that "church school" means those schools that offer instruction in grades K-12, or any combination thereof including the kindergarten, elementary, or secondary level, or single grade schools, and are operated as a ministry of a local church, group of churches, denomination, or association of churches on a nonprofit basis, that do not receive any state or federal funding.
