SB 5471 - DIGEST

     Requires all state-purchased health care and other health care entities that provide hospital, medical, or surgical coverage to include coverage for qualified individuals for services related to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis.

     Requires the services to include, but are not limited to, visits to health care professionals, reimbursement for scientifically proven bone mass measurement, which is bone density testing, and United States food and drug administration-approved medications.
