$Reporting dates to the Department of Transportation for city and county revenue and expenditure information is changed to May 31 of each year.  This is now consistent with the State Auditor's office reporting dates.

Background: 

 

The Washington State Department of Transportation requires cities, towns, and counties to report revenue and expenditure information on streets and roads.  This requirement is to comply with federal statutes, and to assist the Department of Transportation in responding to legislative and governmental requests for information.

 

The required reporting date for this information is March 31 of each year.  The State Auditor's office also requires cities, towns, and counties to report similar types of information by May 31 of each year.

 

 

Summary of Bill: 

 

The reporting dates to the Department of Transportation for city, town, and county revenue and expenditure information for streets and roads is changed to May 31 of each year.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
