Background:The major flooding in western Washington in 1990 led to legislative changes to the Hydraulics Act in order to achieve rapid restoration of damaged lands.   One such change involves a requirement that the Department of Fish and Wildlife process hydraulic project applications within 30 days of receipt for the repair of dikes, sea walls, and other flood control structures that were damaged in the floods and windstorms of 1990.

 

Summary of Bill:RCW 75.20.1001, which requires the department to process certain hydraulic project applications related to flood damage within 30 days, is repealed.
