Background:  The Office of Insurance Commissioner is a statutory elective partisan office with a term of four years.

 

The offices of Superintendent of Public Instruction, Justice of the Supreme Court, judge of the Court of Appeals, judge of the superior court, judge of the district court and all city, town, and  special purpose district elective offices are nonpartisan.

 

Summary of Bill:  The Office of Insurance Commissioner is nonpartisan.

Effective Date:  Ninety days after adjournment of session in which bill is passed.
