     Requires a landlord, except in the case of a single-family residence, to provide a written statement to the tenant disclosing fire protection and building safety information.  The disclosure statement shall provide information on the following:  (1) Fire protection features of the dwelling unit and premises, such as fire sprinkler systems, smoke detection devices, including whether they are hard-wired or battery operated, other monitoring and detection systems, fire response plans, areas of refuge, and evacuation practices;

     (2) smoking policy; and

     (3) fire safety characteristics of the premises.  The statement must be signed by the landlord or the landlord's authorized agent and tenant with copies provided to both parties.
