SB 6003-S - DIGEST

     Creates an agency of state government known as the Washington state department of liquor control.

     Transfers all powers, duties, and functions vested by law in the liquor control board to the director of the department, except those powers, duties, and functions that are expressly directed to remain with the board.  This transfer shall take place on the effective date of this section.  This act does not create a new agency, but provides for a new administrative structure within the renamed agency.

     Repeals RCW 66.08.016 and 66.08.050.
