SB 6284 - DIGEST

     Declares that a person's DNA or individual sequence of chemical base pairs is private information, which may not be obtained and utilized in an individually identifiable form by others without express written informed consent or pursuant to federal or state law.

     Directs the department of health to adopt rules and regulations necessary to protect an individual's confidentiality of their genetic information obtained under chapter 70.83 RCW.
