SB 6538 - DIGEST

     Creates the state highway construction congestion relief account in the treasury within the transportation fund.  All receipts from RCW 82.08.020(2) must be deposited into the account.  Moneys in the account may be spent only after appropriation.  Expenditures from the account may be used only for projects designed to reduce state highway congestion.

     Makes an appropriation of forty-five million dollars for the biennium ending June 30, 2001, from the state patrol account to the state highway construction congestion relief account created under section 2 of this act, for the purposes of section 2 of this act.
