(SUBSTITUTED FOR - SEE 2ND SUB)

     Creates the multimodal fund in the state treasury.  Revenues under RCW 82.08.020 must be deposited into the fund as provided in that section.

     Moneys in the fund may be spent only after appropriation.  Expenditures from the fund may be used only for transportation purposes.

     Declares that the legislature has evidenced its intent to place the revenue from car rental taxes into the transportation fund for transportation purposes.  Due to the recent repeal of the transportation fund, the legislature creates the multimodal fund for the deposit of car rental tax revenues.

     Repeals RCW 82.44.180.
