Background:

During the 2005 legislative session, SHB 1133 was enacted. The bill recodified, amended, and reorganized the public records disclosure exemptions as a new chapter in RCW 42.56 cited as the Public Records Act (Act). The Act takes effect July 1, 2006.

Summary of Bill:

Public records exemptions enacted in 2005 are recodified into the new chapter of statute.
