SB 6276 - DIGEST

Provides that, by June 30, 2007, the board shall identify and map areas that merit increased scenic protection based on their importance to Washington's tourist and recreational economy. These locations include, but are not necessarily limited to, topographically visible areas within a five-mile distance of state and federally designated scenic highways and byways, scenic waterways, and major recreation trails. The board shall coordinate with the department of fish and wildlife, the department of community, trade, and economic development, the department of transportation, counties, and the public in identifying, evaluating, and selecting appropriate areas.
