   On page 2, line 24, after "tanks;" strike "and" and insert "((and))"

   On page 2, line 32, after "highway" insert "; and

   (k)School buses, whether operated by a school district or a commercial chartered bus service"

   On page 4, after line 17 insert:

   "NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 82.08 RCW to read as follows:

   The tax levied by RCW 82.08.020 shall not apply to sales of fuel for use in school buses, whether operated by a school district or a commercial chartered bus service.

   NEW SECTION. Sec. 3. A new section is added to chapter 82.12 RCW to read as follows:

   The provisions of this chapter shall not apply with respect to the use of fuel in the operation of school buses, whether operated by a school district or a commercial chartered bus service."

Correct the title.

EFFECT: Exempts the use of fuel for school buses, whether operated by a school district or a commercial chartered bus service, from the special fuel tax, the retail sales tax, and the use tax.
