   On page 15, beginning on line 15, strike all of section 20 and insert the following:

   "Sec. 20. RCW 49.86.902 and 2007 c 357 s 30 are each amended to read as follows:

   (1) Sections 3 through 18 and 26 of ((this act take effect July 1, 2008)) chapter 357, Laws of 2007, and sections 1 through 10, 13, and 14 of this act take effect on the effective date of an act providing a dedicated revenue source for the purposes of paying benefits under this chapter.

   (2) Sections 2 and 19 through 25 of ((this act)) chapter 357, Laws of 2007 are necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and take effect ((immediately)) May 8, 2007."

   Correct the title.

EFFECT: Changes the effective date of sections relating to benefit payments in both E2SSB 5659 (2007) and this bill from July 1, 2008, to the effective date of an act providing a dedicated revenue source for paying family leave insurance benefits.
