On page 3, after line 3, insert the following:
"NEW SECTION. Sec. 4 A new section is added to chapter 82.04 RCW
to read as follows:
This chapter does not apply to compensation allowed under RCW
82.24.295 for wholesalers and retailers for their services in affixing
the stamps required under chapter 82.24 RCW. For purposes of this
section, "wholesaler," "retailer," and "stamp" have the same meaning as
in chapter 82.24 RCW."
Correct the title.
EFFECT: Provides a business and occupation tax exemption for the stamping allowance provided to licensed cigarette wholesalers and retailers for their services in affixing cigarette tax stamps.
