Beginning on page 4, line 27 of the amendment, strike all of section 8
Renumber the remaining sections consecutively, correct any internal references accordingly, and correct the title.
On page 7, beginning on line 19 of the amendment, after "immediately" strike ", except for section 8 of this act which takes effect July 1, 2008"
EFFECT: Retains current statutory language restricting operation of private ferries within 10 miles of Washington State Ferries' routes and operation of Washington State Ferries that would infringe on operations of a ferry service operating under a franchise approved by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission.
