    Renumber the remaining subsections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

    On page 3, beginning on line 7 of the striking amendment, strike all of section 3

    Renumber the remaining sections consecutively and correct any internal references accordingly.

EFFECT:   (1) Eliminates the requirement that a county must be subject to the jurisdiction of a boundary review board before it can create a metropolitan park district (MPD) whose territory lies entirely within the corporate limits of that county; and (2) strikes a section of the bill prohibiting a petition-initiated proposal for the creation of a MPD if a similar proposal meeting specified criteria failed during the preceding five year period.
