    On page 2, beginning on line 18, strike all of subsection 3 and insert the following:

    "(3) The amount of the additional bonus under subsection (2) of this section for those meeting the qualifications of subsection (2) of this section is a minimum of two thousand five hundred dollars through the 2012-13 school year.  Beginning in the 2013-14 school year, the amount of the additional bonus shall be a minimum of five thousand dollars."

EFFECT:   Makes the challenging school bonus for national board-certified teachers a minimum of $2,500 through the 2012-13 school year.  Beginning in the 2013-14 school year, the bonus is established at a minimum of $5,000.
